Xtmas Feelings!

Something must be said about Christmas... it is the most boring time of the year!

Actually what originally was intended as a gathering of families and friends, a time for forgiveness, joy and shared loved became maybe the most hypocrite season ever...

Am preparing myself for the Xtmas dinner tonight at my auntie's... actually what am doing now is trying to input some patience to go for it. As every year everybody goes there, mostly because they have nothing else to do...

Naturally my auntie will prepare everything with true love & hope that everything will be fine. She will do her best and secretly enjoy every bite given... she has a great heart who only wants to have all relatives together for this special occasion.

For me the whole process is a pain cause I will meet there people whose only link with myself is the blood... this should be a link strong enough, but reality is different. If those people are the relatives we love why we only see or talk to them on this time of the year in a first place?

Am sure everybody has that boring uncle who drinks one glass of beer and start to say all sort of bullshit, that other one whose only thing he/she talks is about the dead relatives and will make ur mom crying, that other who only wants to know about ur private life, those noisy kids running around and pissing of the dog... that other who comes "bare hands" (doesn't bring a single can of beer and drink everything available), that other who is so negative that the plants on the vase wither, that one who will approach u to ask for money as every year, that gay cousin whose everybody knows and says bad things on his back, those, those, those... I could expend all day here given exemples.

Gifts will be exchanged and that's a chapter apart... I will get my fair share of colored socks and underwear... 

Be aware that those who don't go will be the subject for the whole night!... "Oh, of course that arrogant is somewhere else with HIS real family"...

Meanwhile not all are made of bad things: you will have the chance to see that beloved auntie who will start over and over again telling about that time you freed her bird out of the cage and some other embarrassing moments of you life...

In the last five years I was the prodigal son who was living abroad and used to call during these wonderful moments while was having a sometimes lonely Xtmas on the other side of the world!

Trust me, even though I believe human beings should come from trees (not having any relative at all), the more strange, crazy and complicated family you have... it is your family with all its pros and cons, so enjoy it!
