Missing Asia, some people and my babe

Who never looked back and missed a time, some people, some places, etc?

It is funny to see how we human beings get so attached to this kind of stuff. I miss my Asia: China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, HK, Malaysia... even Singapore, believe me or not!
India and Australia also bring me back some good memories, even though I have my things with India...

Every people, place, country, culture have a history to tell and that's what catches my attention. To arrive in a new country, without knowing anyone, having to find out even whether it is possible to get fresh and pure water anywhere is something else.

Naturally Asia is a multitude of everything. It is the most populated area of our planet, it has all climatic happenings: thunderstorms, vulcanoes, tsunamis, earthquakes, monsoons, everything (not that I miss them). Its people are really something else: never met such a range of ideas, religions, beliefs, behaviors, politics, economies in another part of the world.

Its people has suffered so much throught wars, famine, climate changes and all other sorts of vicissitudes that they shaped their way of thinking and doing things forever. You will never be the same after some time there.

Well, you have to be open mind and leave your comfort zone to enjoy it in its best. Leave your own concepts and prejudices at home... otherwise you will break your face. Mindset in general is different and either you adapt yourself or you will be lost!

Once you understand and comprehend them this will change your very soul. Am a completely different person nowadays and at least 90% of that should be thanked to Asia and its facets!

You must understand that in general family needs comes first to your own. The respect and obligations to your family reaches a universe we (westerners) will never even scratch the edge.

So many good memories. It is for sure a food paradise, I have countless stories to tell about all the wonderful (sometimes unusual) food I had. Became addicted to Thai, Japanese, Korean and Chinese food mostly, but wherever you go you will delight something different like the "babi guling" (roasted pork) in Bali (Indonesia) or all the wonderful meats in Australia, that without mention the kangurus, buffaloes, crocodiles and so on.

Places to visit?! OMG: Thailand, the Malaysian Islands, Jakarta and Bali (Indonesia), Seoul in Korea, Japan, the Great Wall in China, the Taj Mahal in India, Sydney in Australia... guess I will be an eternal Asia-home-sick!

My babe is a chapter apart once he is joining me in Brazil in the next two weeks. He's maybe the most important thing Asia gave to me!

I know people who will never leave their own city, will never try another waters and my only wondering is what they will have to tell to the next generation...

Anyway, who cares?! I will always live life to its fullest!
